Habitat for Humanity Bball Game - April 26
Olin’s annual Students vs "Grown-Ups" (Faculty, Staff, and Alums) basketball game will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 1:00 pm in Babson’s Webster Center. If you would like to join the Faculty/Staff team please send an e-mail to Debbie Chachra and she’ll add you to the roster and put you on the mailing list for practices. If you’re not interested in playing, the team would love your support; additionally you’ll be supporting a great cause – there is a nominal cover charge, and all proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity. It’s also a lot of fun! Join us!

Olin Holiday's and Summer Friday's
On a trial basis again for this summer employees will be allowed to leave work two hours earlier than your normal ending time*, beginning June 6 and ending August 15.

*For those employees who submit time sheets, the two hours for each Friday should be recorded as holiday time on your time sheet. Please note that for all employees, this holiday time will not apply if you have scheduled a Friday as a vacation day. In that case, the entire day will be recorded as vacation time.

Additionally, an updated holiday schedule is available here. It reflects the two College Holiday's announced during the April 8 State of the College address. (This document can also be found on the HR tab of the portal.)

I hope that you will be able to take this time to enjoy the warm summer weather and the time away from College responsibilities. Thank you again for all you do to make Olin the special place that it is! -- Rick

Alumni Slideshow for Commencement Weekend

Candidates Weekend Style, we'd like to put together updated profiles reflecting what we're doing now (or anything you've done in the last year). We're looking for pictures, and a few words about what you're up to these days. Expect an email with additional details and a template in the next week or so, but in the meantime start thinking about what you’d like to share!

    Trivia
In the last issue we asked "when (what year) did Olin begin the Big Conversations series and who was Olin's very first Big Conversations speaker?" Greg Marra was the first to respond correctly, with an answer of 2003, Dean Kamen.

Trivia buffs (and Red Sox fans), do you know...

Q: As of Link press time (Friday, 4/18 at 1:00 pm) how much was the bid for the David Ortiz Red Sox jersey that was recently dug up from the new Yankee Stadium concrete?

A: First person to respond to Alyson Goodrow with the correct answer receives a prize.
