Immigration over the US/Mexico border is a pressing issue of the day, which touches such wide-ranging areas as US-Mexico Relations ~ Labor Conditions ~ Human Rights ~ Education policy (both primary and higher) ~ Free Trade ~ Poverty ~ Economic Structures ~ International Politics ~ As part of our co-curricular, we have been learning about immigration this semester, and we plan to visit the US/Mexico border over winter break to see and learn first-hand about the issues from the people directly affected: immigrants, border-patrol agents, social services workers, etc. While we will not be building anything tangible while we are there, we hope to learn and be changed by our experience, which will lead to service upon our return. Please support us by making a donation, buying a raffle ticket or hiring us for babysitting, yardwork, tutoring, etc.
