Olin's first sports team, the Flying Franks, recently competed in the UPA New England Ultimate Frisbee Tournament (The Ultimate Players Association, or UPA, governs the College Division of Ultimate Frisbee). The Flying Franks put forth a strong first showing, finishing 2-3 in its first ever national tournament. The Flying Franks enjoyed wins over Stonehill College and the Boston College B team. The dramatic win over Boston College was the result of five unanswered points in the final minutes of the game. Losses were to the nationally ranked Tufts University A team, Boston College A team, and Harvard University.
Team members included: Avery Anderson, Gavin Boggs, David Boy, Adam Bry, Mark Cavolowsky, Conor Frackleton, Alex Jenko, Eugene Kozlenko, Duc Nguyen, Simone Sequeira, Andrew Tsang, and Chris Luneburg, Nick Giobbi, and Scott Meyer of Babson.
The team looks forward to continuing its strong start this spring and plans to continue playing in the fall. Contact Nick Tatar if you are interested in playing next year.
The College is currently seeking qualified candidates for several positions. Employees are reminded that HR is always happy to accept referrals.
